SPORTIKA
Age: 8 Years Old (March 18, 2017)
Height: 16hh approx.
Suitability: Companion/Potential Riding Partner
Sportika is a beautiful young mare with a short but successful racing career and three lovely foals behind her. Now, she’s ready for a new beginning—one where she gets to be the center of someone’s world.
Living with Equine Hereditary Microphthalmia, Sportika has limited vision, but she navigates life with a thoughtful, willing attitude. She’s 100% sound, pain-free, and eager to bond deeply with someone patient and consistent. She’s currently turned out with others, happily following her friends' lead on paddock adventures. She thrives best with calm companions; high-energy horses can make her anxious and reactive.
In unfamiliar situations, Sportika may feel unsure and can become strong if disoriented—but when she feels safe and knows her surroundings, she is a gentle, affectionate mare who truly tries her best. She’s incredibly rewarding to work with, especially for someone who appreciates a sensitive horse with a big heart. She’s polite and well-mannered for grooming—she’ll stand for hours if it means being pampered—and she’s proven herself adaptable in different turnout situations, from 24/7 turnout to part-time with a stall to rest in (which she loves). Whether in a mixed herd or turned out with just mares, she fits in well with the right match.
Sportika is an easy keeper, and she doesn’t require special maintenance beyond basic good care—and a fly mask for turnout to protect her eyes. This is a horse who bonds deeply, learns quickly, and gives her whole heart when she trusts you. She’s a fantastic candidate for groundwork, liberty, or under-saddle training with someone experienced and kind. She could also shine as a companion horse for someone seeking a sweet, gentle presence.

MUSCLE AVE
Age: 12 Years Old (April 15, 2013)
Height: 15.3hh approx.
Suitability: Companion
Eddie came into our program and was adopted out last year, but despite best efforts and a full veterinary workup, it’s become clear that riding just isn’t in the cards for him. Due to arthritic changes, Eddie comes up sore after being ridden—even with medication and management—and his comfort and well-being must come first.
What he can do? Be a wonderful companion and steady presence in the pasture. Eddie is pasture sound, playful, and moves freely with no issues when not under saddle. He’d thrive in a home where he can just be—no pressure, no expectations. His adopter describes him as a perfect candidate for a therapy or EAL program, or simply as a pasture buddy for another horse.
He is up-to-date on all vet work, deworming, and farrier care. He’s an easy keeper, lives happily outside 24/7, and has a few endearing quirks—like flinging his tongue around while in the cross ties. Aloof at first, Eddie takes his time to connect, but he’ll meet you at the gate and never say no to a treat. He stands like a statue to be groomed and relishes a good scratch.
This sweet soul is looking for a peaceful home where he can just be someone’s beloved horse—with no strings attached.

DONTDOUBTTHELAKERS
Age: 15 Years Old (February 20, 2010)
Height: 15hh approx.
Suitability: Trail Riding / Companion
Laker is a handsome, sweet-natured gelding looking for a peaceful retirement home where he can enjoy the slower pace he’s earned. After years of being well-loved, he’s ready for his next chapter with someone who values companionship, patience, and gentle rides through nature.
Though green under saddle, Laker has trail experience and truly enjoys being out with a calm, confident rider. He can be a little spooky at times, but he does best when paired with someone who offers reassurance and consistency. His natural kindness always comes through once trust is built.
Laker has some arthritis and wear from his racing days, so he’s best suited for light, easy rides or life as a companion. A low-impact lifestyle, warm blankets in winter, and a little extra TLC will go a long way in keeping him comfortable and happy.
Whether you're looking for a light riding partner or a steady pasture buddy, Laker’s gentle heart makes him a joy to be around. He’d be a wonderful addition to a family looking for a soft, steady presence in their barn.

BLISSFULL KISS
Age: 23 Years Old (April 25, 2002)
Height: 16hh approx.
Suitability: Companion / Light Driving or Riding
With over $225,000 in race earnings and a stellar record as a broodmare, Kiss is a mare who has done it all—and done it with style. Now in her golden years, she’s sound, healthy, and still full of presence, looking for a home where she can enjoy a well-earned, love-filled retirement or explore a second career with a gentle touch.
Kiss has been exceptionally cared for throughout her life, and it shows in her condition, demeanor, and confidence. She hasn’t been under harness or saddle in recent years, but her foundation and work ethic remain. With the right person, she could easily step back into light riding or driving, or simply bask in the attention of being someone’s beloved pasture queen.
As an alpha mare, Kiss carries herself with quiet authority—leading with confidence, not conflict. She does well in a mixed or mare-only herd and prefers respectful companions. She’s well-mannered, enjoys her creature comforts (like a cozy stall during storms), and transitions easily between turnout and stable life.
Currently up to date on all veterinary and farrier care, Kiss is sound and an easy keeper. Her current owner is beginning to downsize and wants nothing more than for this remarkable mare to land somewhere she’ll be cherished for exactly who she is.

HAVE FAITH IN NIKE
Age: 16 Years Old (March 29, 2009)
Height: 14.3hh approx.
Suitability: Anything
Chai is a spirited and athletic mare who has returned to our program through no fault of her own. Trained under both English and Western tack, she confidently walks, trots, and canters under saddle and is also trained to drive, although she was never raced. Chai is best described as "more go than woah"—she has a strong motor and loves to move, making her an ideal match for a confident, experienced rider.
She stands well for the farrier, tacking up, and at the mounting block. While she is calm and safe at the walk, anything beyond that requires an intermediate or advanced rider with soft hands and a quiet seat. She does not buck, bolt, or rear, but she can spook occasionally, usually only in understandable scenarios. With a consistent, trusting relationship, she puts in a true effort to do anything asked of her.
Chai thrives in a herd environment and is currently living outside 24/7 with a run-in shelter. She is blanketed in the winter. She is low in the pecking order but will confidently lead out on trail if allowed. She can be nervous trailering or when confined in tight spaces, so patience and support in those scenarios are essential.
She is fully up to date on vaccinations, deworming, dental care, and farrier work. Certain tack, blankets, and her preferred winter feed can be available for an additional price to be discussed privately with her current caretaker.

BIG JOE DOBY
Age: 11 Years Old (April 25, 2014)
Height: 16hh approx.
Suitability: Trails/Companion
Retired at the end of 2020 due to a mild soundness issue in his right front, this handsome gelding is now looking for his next adventure partner. He presents with some residual tightness in the shoulder and tendon, but maintains 90–95% soundness with regular farrier care and would benefit from a joint supplement for ongoing support. While not currently on therapeutic treatments, they could further enhance his long-term comfort.
He’s best suited to a gelding-only herd, as he can be a bit assertive with mares, but he thrives on 24/7 turnout and absolutely lives for attention—always the first one to meet you at the gate. With consistent groundwork and a light riding routine, this boy could make a wonderful partner for easy trails and quiet rides.
He’s got heart, personality, and plenty of miles left in him for the right person who’s ready to meet him where he’s at. If you're looking for a horse with soul and spirit who’s ready to give his best to someone who gives him a chance—this is your guy.

MOTHER HEN
Age: 18 Years Old (May 9, 2007)
Height: 16.1hh
Suitability: Trail Riding / Companion
Mama is a sweet, gentle mare with a heart as big as they come. After selflessly stepping in as a surrogate to an orphaned foal, she proved just how compassionate and steady she truly is. She’s the kind of horse who brings peace to a pasture and warmth to any barn.
While she was bred again in 2024, she unfortunately lost her foal and will not be bred again. Now, Mama deserves a home where she’s loved simply for being her—a calm, affectionate mare with a whole lot of love to give.
She’s sound, easy to manage, and thrives on routine.
She lives out during the day, comes into the barn at night, and settles in beautifully. Though her riding experience is limited, she’s expected to be a lovely light trail prospect with a bit more time under saddle.

FISHIN FOR GOLD
Age: 20 Years Old (March 13, 2005)
Height: 15.3hh approx.
Suitability: Trails/Companion
Looking for a fun and reliable gelding to brighten your barn? Spunky might be your guy. With a solid foundation and a big personality, this former local show-ring standout is ready to enjoy semi-retirement with someone who values a horse that’s part partner, part character.
Spunky has been with one loving owner his entire life and has the manners to prove it. He’s been shown locally and proudly brought home ribbons in LDS shows. Now, he’s looking for a forever home where he can enjoy light, pleasure riding a few times a week and be doted on like the prince he knows he is.
He’s best suited for an intermediate or confident youth rider (with adult supervision) who enjoys a horse that rides both bareback or under saddle. He’s solid at the walk and trot under English tack, with canter work still needing refinement. He’s sound, recently trimmed, dewormed, and reportedly “as close to bombproof as you can get”—though he prefers wide-open spaces to tight quarters and may be mildly claustrophobic.
Spunky does not enjoy driving—he becomes nervous and panicked in harness. Under saddle, however, he’s responsive, loves attention, and thrives on a consistent routine. He’s currently living in a mixed herd, stalled overnight, and is great for both the vet and farrier.

GISELLE
Age: Approx. 12 years old
Height: 15.3hh approx.
Suitability: Flat Work / Companion
This gentle, timid mare is searching for a permanent, peaceful home where she can finally exhale. Naturally low in the herd and nervous in new environments, she does best with consistency, calmness, and kindness.
Currently living on 24/7 turnout, blanketed in winter, and up-to-date on vaccines and deworming, she’s well-mannered once caught, never pushy, and surprisingly responds best to quiet children over adults. She’s green broke to drive, but previously showed soreness with heavy work and would benefit from a vet or chiro assessment to ensure her comfort. Her movement in the field is sound and lovely.
Under saddle, she’s only been walked in a round pen. She’s nervous, not defiant, and needs slow, confidence-building work from someone experienced with sensitive horses. A gentle farrier is essential—she’s cooperative with her front feet, but still uncertain with her hinds. She's not food motivated, can be hard to catch, and is fearful of ropes, cowboy hats, and firm handling—especially on her right side.
Her current owner never intended to rehome her, but due to unforeseen injury, keeping her is no longer possible. To avoid further transitions and setbacks, we are urgently seeking a long-term home willing to give this sweet mare the patience, time, and safety she truly deserves.

THREE AMIGOS
Age: 13 Years Old (April 29, 2012)
Height: 17hh approx.
Suitability: Trails/Companion
Rescued from a kill pen in 2023, this sweet gelding has likely spent most of his life working in an Amish community. While his past is a mystery, his heart is not—he’s a gentle, snack-loving soul who’s eager to connect, despite some initial nervousness in new settings. Once he trusts you, he’s all puppy-dog eyes and quiet affection.
He’s currently turned out 24/7 in a mixed herd and does well with others, but he can get chilled in poor weather and appreciates blanketing support when needed. Barefoot and handled regularly, he’s been saddled without issue but does not appear to have been ridden under saddle.
He is currently experiencing unsoundness in his right hind. While this hasn’t yet been assessed by a vet, his caretaker believes targeted conditioning may improve his mobility over time. Due to a sudden change in caretaker circumstances, he must find a new home by mid-June.
He may not be a match for riding right away, but he is a perfect candidate for a calm, loving home—whether as a companion, equine-assisted therapy partner, or simply a pasture pet to spoil. This is a horse who has carried weight in the past; now, he just needs someone to carry him into a continued bright future.
Trailering is available if a local home is found.

GARRETTS GUIDE
Age: 9 Years Old (March 25, 2016)
Height: Approx. 15.1hh
Suitability: TBD
After retiring from the racetrack at the end of January, Mr. G has been enjoying some well-deserved rest and relaxation. Now settling into his post-racing life, he’s proving to be an absolute gentleman in every way.
This sweet-natured gelding is as easygoing as they come—nothing seems to faze him, and he takes everything in stride. He leads beautifully, stands quietly for the farrier, and absolutely loves treats and grooming. In the pasture, he’s low in the pecking order and keeps to himself, but he gets along well with his paddock mates.
Looking ahead, Mr. G shows great potential as a future riding horse. His gentle personality and willing nature make him an excellent prospect for a dedicated partner. As a smaller-built horse, he would be best suited for a lighter rider if he transitions into a riding home. While he does have a few cosmetic bumps and blemishes from his race career, he would likely excel in a flatwork or trail-riding home where he can enjoy a relaxed and fulfilling second career.
For now, Mr. G is embracing his downtime with daytime turnout and a cozy stall at night. Stay tuned for more updates as he continues his transition into this exciting new chapter!

SPORTS FAN
Age: 6 Years Old (May 24, 2019)
Height: 16.1hh approx.
Suitability: TBD
This incredibly handsome gelding is already a bit of a legend—holding the 2YO Colt & Gelding track record at Clinton Raceway and earning over $178,000 during a standout racing career.
Last year, a tendon injury signaled the end of his time on the track. Since then, Bo has enjoyed a much-deserved winter of rest, recovery, and most recently, a gelding procedure. Now, he’s adjusting to life off the track and learning that retirement isn’t so bad—especially when it comes with treats, turnout, and a fresh new chapter.
Bo isn’t available for adoption just yet—we’re giving him time to settle in, decompress, and ease into his new lifestyle. Over the coming weeks, we’ll begin introducing groundwork and exploring under-saddle work as he continues to transition into post-racing life.
A huge thank you to his connections for placing their trust in us, and to everyone who helped make his safe arrival possible.

REHABILITATION
CHOCOLATE CRACKERS
Age: 14 Years Old (April 14, 2011)
Height: 16hh
Suitability: TBD
After an incredible career spanning 386 starts, 48 wins, and over $500,000 in earnings, Crackers has more than earned his retirement. This classy, intelligent, and well-loved gelding gave his all on the track, and now he’s getting the care he needs to heal and prepare for his next adventure.
Unfortunately, in a race at the end of December 2024, Crackers pulled up lame with a hairline fracture in his coffin bone. But don’t count this warrior out—since getting bar shoes, he’s been 100% sound and joined our program in January 2025 to begin his rehab journey.
What’s Next for Crackers? He is currently on stall rest to allow for proper healing, and hand-walking will begin soon to gradually build strength. Once cleared, he’ll start under saddle – and with his intelligence and experience, he’s going to make an incredible riding horse. A full recovery is expected – as long as we take things slow and steady.
A war horse like Crackers deserves the best, but rehabilitation is costly. We are currently looking for sponsors to help cover:
Feed & hay to keep him strong
Shavings & stall care during his recovery
Vet work & rehab expenses to ensure he gets the best care possible
Want to be part of Crackers’ journey?
You can help this incredible athlete heal and thrive in his next chapter! Visit our sponsorship page or donate via our donation button to support Crackers as he makes his well-deserved comeback.
We want to extend our deepest gratitude to Crackers’ racing connections for reaching out and ensuring his long-term safety and well-being in his next chapter. It is because of responsible owners and trainers like them that horses like Crackers get the second chance they deserve.
For now, he’s resting up, soaking in all the attention, and reminding us why he was so beloved throughout his racing career. Stay tuned—this champion’s story is far from over!

Sometimes the ones who’ve been through the most become the ones who teach us the most.
