MONETARY DONATIONS

New Start Standardbreds operates solely on the generosity of donations to fund its programs and support horses in need. Without government funding or corporate sponsorships, every dollar contributed directly fuels the organization's mission to rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome standardbred horses. These donations cover essential expenses such as veterinary care, feed, shelter, and training, ensuring that each horse receives the specialized attention necessary for their physical and emotional well-being. By relying entirely on the kindness of donors, New Start can continue to provide a second chance to retired and at-risk standardbreds, transforming their lives and exemplifying the power of community support in creating lasting change for equine welfare.

PRODUCT DONATIONS

We are always looking for items to be able to help our horses, whether it be with their daily care or training.

These items include:

- Halters (Breakaway or Leather)

- Lead Ropes

- Feed Buckets; rubber or plastic

- English & Western Tack (bridles, saddle pads, saddles, etc.)

- Driving Equipment (harness, driving cart, etc.)

- General Riding Equipment (polos, boots, saddle stands, etc.)

- Stable Equipment (Pitch forks, brooms, stall ties, feed racks, etc.)

- Turnout Blankets/Rainsheets (between 70-82") 

- Stable Sheets (between 70"-82")

Please note that for the safety of our volunteers and horses, we are unable to accept items that are deemed to be dangerous, unfit for use, or unable to be properly sanitized before use. Blankets requiring small, financially friendly repairs are accepted!

DONATE YOUR CAR

Donate a Car Canada accepts Vehicle Donations for New Start Standardbred Adoption. Free towing is provided in most areas across Canada, or you can drop off your vehicle to maximize your donation. When you donate your car, truck, RV, boat, or motorcycle to New Start Standardbred Adoption through Donate A Car Canada, it will either be recycled or sold at auction (depending on its condition, age and location).

 

Donate a Car Canada will look after all the details to make it easy for New Start Standardbred Adoption to benefit. After your vehicle donation is complete, you will receive a tax receipt and we will put your gift to good use.
